I’m going through some changes in my life that I’d like to write my way through, mostly for myself, but also to share with trusted friends. Therefore I’ve decided to keep a little semi-private, occasionally-updated journal.
In the past I would’ve made unlinked pages on my website — hiding in plain sight. But my website’s git repo is public, and LLMs scrape and fold into their sordid dossiers.
What’s a lil coffeescript girlie to do!? 💅🏻
I can use encryption! There’ll be a password! I’ll give that password to trusted friends.
Reasoning:
- It’s fun! I can be weird about it.
- I can control who is reading, and let more people in over time.
- If someone cracks the encryption, hopefully I’ll learn how they did it, which is cool.
- And if someone cracks the encryption and, say, shares my secrets, that’s fine. People are going to find out eventually.
Are you a trusted friend? Would you like to be? Message me somewhere private and I may give you the password.
I’ll see you soon.
